GUIDE TO YOUR PERFECT PIERCING
Whether you've got a classic lobe, a trendy tragus or a cute conch - get to know all about the best jewels to curate your dream collection.
MEASUREMENTS
The gauge of your piercing refers to the thickness of the bar that goes through your piercing. The smaller the number the bigger the size.
Everyone's anatomy is unique so your piercer may use a slightly different length or thickness for your piercings compared to our size guide and the initial piercing may be 2 millimeters longer then our size suggestion, to give your new piercing some space to swell.
SIZE GUIDE FOR PIERCINGS
If you are unsure of your piercing gauge, ask your piercer as they will be able to tell you what gauge needle was used. Most piercings use either a straight or curved barbell and some piercings are able to fit both bar types to give you a wide range of possibilities to express yourself.
Check out our guide to find the right piercing size and most commonly used bar type for your curated ear, facial piercings or specific body piercing.
HEALING PROCESS
Your ear lobe piercings need a minimum of 6-8 weeks of healing time and your cartilage and other piercings need a minimum of 3-6 months.
However, everyone has a different healing process depending on your after care and sensitivity. New piercings can shrink as soon as you remove your initial piercing, making it painful or near impossible to put back in so try to avoid changing your piercings until they are fully healed.
TIPS TO ENSURE A QUICK HEALING PROCESS:
✨ Keep your new piercing site clean and dry.
✨ Wash our hands thoroughly before cleaning the area.
✨ Use a cotton bud and clean the area three times daily with an aftercare solution.(Do not over clean the area.)
✨ Rotate your initial piercings while cleaning the area to ensure it doesn't stick to the piercing site.
✨ Avoid chlorine, harsh chemicals and beauty products around your piercing. (Use a waterproof band aid if needed.)
✨ Avoid sleeping on the pierced area.
✨ Avoid tight clothing rubbing on your piercing.
✨ Avoid activities that will stretch the skin around your piercing.
